On September 14-15, 2024, the 47th Skierniewice Festival of Flowers, Fruits, and Vegetables took place, attracting thousands of visitors from Poland and beyond. This prestigious cultural and trade event, known for its vibrant parade and diverse attractions, once again highlighted the region’s commitment to agricultural innovation and cultural heritage.
As part of the festival, the Institute of Horticulture – National Research Institute (InHort) hosted the “Sensory Gardens in the Chambers of the Archbishop’s Palace” exhibition, under the honorary patronage of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Czesław Siekierski, and the Marshal of the Łódzkie Voivodeship, Joanna Skrzydlewska.
The HortiQD Project’s presentation emphasized its mission to:
- Enhance disease detection through hyperspectral imaging and AI-driven analysis.
- Develop modular and adaptable agricultural tools to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
- Foster environmentally sustainable practices across Europe’s farming landscapes.
- Visitors left inspired by HortiQD’s potential to transform agriculture, underscoring the importance of innovation in securing a sustainable future.
