The 15th Trade Fair of Pomology and Vegetables (TSW), the largest event for fruit and vegetable producers in Central and Eastern Europe, took place in Kielce on January 22-23, 2025. With over 400 exhibitors from Poland and abroad, the fair provided a platform to showcase cutting-edge horticultural solutions and exchange industry expertise.

The Institute of Horticulture – National Research Institute drew significant attention with its research projects, including HortiQD, alongside initiatives such as AgroBioConnect, BiofruitNET, and ResBerry. Visitors, including Mr. Adam Nowak, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, explored the Institute’s innovations and accredited laboratories.

One of the highlights was the presentation of HARVBOT, an AI-driven robotic apple harvester designed for precision and efficiency. Its modular structure ensures minimal fruit damage, demonstrating the potential of automation in horticulture.

The event also featured conferences with leading scientists, including Prof. Dr. Joanna Pulawska, Prof. Dr. Stanisław Pluta, Dr. Paweł Konopacki, and Dr. Jerzy Lisek, who shared insights into the latest advancements in the sector. The prestigious Prof. Szczepan A. Pieniązek awards recognized outstanding innovations, including microbial fertilizers, new strawberry varieties, and advanced monitoring robots.
